The biological treatment of the wastewater from the Torre del Codina has allowed that in the last phase of purification, the water can be stored in two interconnected ponds that are ideal for the life and reproduction of amphibians.
Being located in a dry area, the two ponds, which have quality water throughout the year, have become a strong attraction for all species of birds in the area, as well as also for mammals, micromammals and reptiles found in the surrounding areas.
In order to enjoy the observation of the different species of birds that come to water in the ponds of the Torre del Codina, we have installed a bird observatory, also called “hiding place” or “hide” with capacity for two people. From the hide you can take good pictures of birds thanks to the spy glass that offers a wide view of the pond.
For the installation we have had the advice of the company “Photologistics”, specialized in ornithological observation.
The hiding place allows you to enjoy ornithological knowledge and we have the escort service to introduce the observer in the identification of birds.
